The TallMikeWine Podcast: Wine, Life & a Conversation with Freddy López

Two wines, a microphone, and plenty to talk about. I joined Mike Stone on The TallMikeWine Podcast for a conversation that moves between wine, family, my years in beauty, and finding my way back to Sonoma.

Mike Stone is the host of The TallMikeWine Podcast, a Sonoma-based show where wine opens the door to conversations about life, food, and whatever comes up along the way. His relaxed, curious approach leaves plenty of room for laughter and the personal moments that happen over a shared glass.

For our episode, we opened our 2025 Rosé of Cabernet Franc and 2024 Chenin Blanc. We talked about growing up around my father’s vineyard, leaving for a career in beauty, and returning home to help build López Family Vineyards. It’s a chance to spend a little time together beyond the tasting notes.

Pour a glass and listen along

2025 Rosé of Cabernet Franc
Rosé of Cabernet Franc was the first wine we released under our family label in 2023, and it still holds a special place at our table. We opened the 2025 vintage for this conversation.

2024 Chenin Blanc
Our first wine made with purchased fruit, this Chenin Blanc comes from Mangels Vineyard in Suisun Valley. It also marks the beginning of a new chapter for us: we planted Chenin Blanc at our own vineyard in 2026.

Find both wines in our wine shop, settle in, and press play. We’d love to hear what part of the conversation stays with you.

Thank you, Mike, for the conversation and for sharing a glass with me.
