Our Story
Since 1978, the López family has built its life and work in Sonoma County, guided by roots in Guanajuato, Mexico and a lasting respect for the land. We came to farm with patience, responsibility, and a clear commitment to doing the work well.
Today, the vineyard remains family-run. Every season asks something of us, and every harvest is handled by people who know the vines, the soil, and the stakes. That hands-on care has earned the trust of respected Sonoma County wineries and now defines the wines under our own label.
Our estate in Alexander Valley is where that work comes into focus. Since releasing our first Lopez Family Vineyards wines in 2023, we have made Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot with a clear point of view: honest wines, grown with discipline, made to be shared.

Our work begins in the vineyard. In 2019, we began reshaping our Alexander Valley estate around the varieties that best express this place: Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. We farm each block with intention, harvest by hand, and make decisions for the long life of the land.
We believe quality is built season by season. That means organic inputs, thoughtful water and soil practices, and a willingness to do the work ourselves. The result is wine with structure, character, and a clear sense of where it was grown.
Our candle collection is part of that same commitment. Each scent reflects a piece of vineyard life, and every purchase helps support the practical work behind it—from essential inputs to the habitat that keeps the estate thriving.
